1.Phishing, probably the most known trick for Facebook or any other mailing site. But now the awareness has been spread making it difficult to hack an account using this.
2.Use of Keyloggers barely works now. You have to have undetectable Keyloggers, which at noob level is impossible.
3. The three friend recovery doesn't work anymore. Facebook had to shut it down cause there were many accounts comprised due to this.
But the most sophisticated method that I learnt is Desktop Phishing.
I won't spoon feed you, but will give a thin idea of the method.
Here it goes:
Every PC has a host file. This file contains the ip address of particular websites that we visit. And now I'll tel you what we do with this.
1.In desktop phishing, we have to host a phishing page and get its static IP
2.Then write a bat program that changes the IP of facebook.com in the host file of your victim with the IP of your phishing page .
This way the user actually believes the address bar in the browser which says facebook.com and falls in the trap
